The shift knob on FTDX10 is way too fine, though, if you turn it 90 degrees either side the shift value is some 50-60Hz only, so you need to keep turning that knob a lot.Yaesu FTDX10 vs. FTDX1200. I had seen some ad's for this new FT710 which looks like a new lower cost version of the FTDX10, maybe it might be directly competitive with the 7300 but with some added features that are NOT on the 7300 but many wish these features to be added. What I don't see is Yaesu coming out for a replacement size wise to the FTDX3000 ... Yaesu is not discontinuing the FTdx10. From what I've read, the 710 was the next logical step in upgrading the HF product line. The dx101 replaced the dx5000. The dx10 replaced the dx3000. The FT710 replaces the dx1200. All those older models were designs from a decade or more ago..
